Top 5 Futsal (5-a-side) Goals.

Football is renown for having some incredible goals, one only needs to look at the careers of players such as Ronaldinho, Beckham and Raul to see a variety of jaw-dropping strikes. Futsal, though best known for its speed and the need to have a quick pair of feet to get yourself out of trouble, also has its fair share of mind-blowing goals. The following list is not in any particular order as I don’t think I can separate some of these goals!

We start with Turkish international Kenan Ratinho who scores a goal that Christiano Ronaldo would be proud of:

Ratinho goal
The technique involved in scoring a goal like this doesn’t even bear thinking about. Not only does Ratinho use pace and skill to leave a defender stranded he then humiliates the poor goalkeeper by slotting the ball through his legs while pirouetting!

Next up we have Italy international Adriano Foglia and it is similar to Ratinho’s in the sense that as he scores he pirouettes to knock the ball past the keeper:

Adriano Foglia
The reason I class this goal as one of the best is because of the speed at which Foglia had to be thinking as he got to the ball, the keeper has covered his angles well so trying to lob him or place the ball either side of him would be near impossible but Foglia comes up with a moment of pure genius to give his side a 1-0 lead.

The next two spots belong to arguably the best futsal player on the planet, Brazilian international, Falcao, not to be confused with Atletico Madrid’s Colombian superstar of the same name. This goal is an example of speed and skill at its best, Falcao bursts into the area, does a ‘rainbow’ to lob the keeper and then volleys the ball past the hapless defender and into the net:

Falcao rainbow volley.
There is nothing much you can say about a goal like that so I will simply leave you to press the replay button over and over again as you marvel at the sheer brilliance that even players like Ronaldinho may find himself upstaged by.

Falcao’s second goal on this list is one that has gone down in futsal folklore for its awe inspiring skill and audacity. After winning a free kick for his team he then proceeds to take it in the most flamboyant way imaginable, running up to the ball, he pirouettes and flicks the ball off his ankle lobbing not only the defensive wall but the goalkeeper too! Sensational!

Finally we come to Calderolli. This is not the kind of goal usually associated with futsal which is another reason why I have included it as it shows the variety within the game. Calderolli doesn’t so much collect his goalkeepers long ball as rise and scissor kick it past what seems to be a half asleep goalkeeper and into the net, incredible athleticism:
Calderolli scissor kick

And that is my top 5 futsal goals, let me know which one was your favourite or if you disagree and would like to nominate one which is even better.
